This elegant contemporary wooden cremation urn is an original design by artist and woodworker Eugene F. Watson. Handcrafted in Colorado, USA, it offers a beautiful and meaningful memorial for a loved one.
Made from distinctive Ambrosia Maple, this urn combines the natural beauty of wood with a graceful cylindrical shape and exceptional craftsmanship.
Traditional Woodworking and Modern Design
Eugene creates the curved form using kerf bending, a traditional woodworking technique that allows wood to be shaped into a smooth, rounded vessel.
The interior is sealed with shellac, while the exterior is finished with polished, water-based lacquer to enhance the natural grain and provide a beautiful soft sheen.
The uniquely designed removable top is held securely in place by six strong magnets, providing discreet and convenient access to the interior.

We searched for months to find the right vessel for a remarkable family member who passed unexpectedly. He loved modern/contemporary art and when we saw this piece, we knew he would have appreciated that it's not just a vessel, it's truly a piece of art. So grateful for this artisan and his responsiveness as we determined the placement and design of the optional add-on plaque. We had it placed on the bottom so that it would not cover any of the beautiful wood grain. Shipped very securely and quickly. I hope I never need to buy another of these but feel so much better holding our loved one's remains in a vessel that he would admire.
